Casa Hub Privacy Policy

Casa Hub ("the App") is a family household management application developed by Aapify LLC ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding your data.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Account information: Email address and password when you create an account.
- Family profile data: Family member names, roles (parent/kid), and profile emoji or photo.
- Household data: Chore lists, chore completion records, meal plans, calendar events, trip itineraries, packing lists, family to-do lists, savings goals, sticker rewards, and earnings tracking.
- Photos: Chore completion photos and savings goal images that you voluntarily upload.
Information collected automatically
- Device information: We may collect basic device type and operating system version for app compatibility purposes.
- Usage data: App feature usage patterns to improve the product experience. This data is not linked to individual identities.
Information we do NOT collect
- Location data
- Contact lists or phone numbers
- Browsing history
- Financial or payment information (earnings tracking is internal to the app and does not involve real money transactions)
- Advertising identifiers
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information collected solely to provide and improve the Casa Hub app experience:
- To create and manage your family household within the app
- To sync household data across family members' devices in real time
- To send push notifications about chore approvals, meal plans, and calendar events (with your permission)
- To display household activity feeds and progress tracking
- To generate weekly summary reports for your family
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
3. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored using Google Firebase Realtime Database and Firebase Authentication, hosted on Google Cloud Platform infrastructure. Data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. Firebase provides industry-standard security practices for data at rest.
Photos uploaded within the app are stored as compressed data within the Firebase database.
We also store certain data locally on your device (using browser localStorage) to enable offline access to the app.
4. Data Sharing
We share data only in the following limited circumstances:
- Within your family: All household data is shared among family members who join the same family group using a join code. This is a core feature of the app.
- Service providers: We use Google Firebase for authentication and data storage. Google's privacy practices are governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, or legal process.
5. Children's Privacy
Casa Hub is a family app that may be used by children under the age of 13 under parental supervision. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
- Child profiles are created by parents, not by children themselves.
- We do not collect personal information directly from children. All data entry for child profiles is managed by parents.
- We do not serve behavioral or targeted advertising to any users, including children.
- If we include advertising in the future, ads shown when a child profile is active will be COPPA-compliant (contextual only, no personal data collection).
- Parents can review, modify, or delete their child's data at any time through the app's Settings.
6. Your Rights and Choices
Access and update
You can view and update all your family data directly within the app at any time through the Settings tab.
Delete your data
You can request deletion of all your family's data by contacting us at support@aapify.com. We will delete your data from our servers within 30 days of receiving your request.
Push notifications
You can enable or disable push notifications at any time through your device's system settings.
Account deletion
You may request deletion of your account by emailing support@aapify.com. Upon account deletion, all associated data will be permanently removed within 30 days.
7. Advertising
Casa Hub may display advertisements in the free version of the app. When ads are displayed:
- No personal data is shared with ad networks for targeting purposes.
- When a child profile is active, only COPPA-compliant contextual ads are shown.
- Ad-free experience is available through a paid subscription (Casa Hub Pro).
8. Third-Party Services
Casa Hub uses the following third-party services:
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Realtime Database) — Firebase Privacy
- Google AdMob (Advertising, if applicable) — Google Privacy Policy
- Google Fonts (Nunito font) — loaded from Google's CDN
9. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active and your family group exists. If you delete your account or request data deletion, we will remove your data within 30 days. Local data stored on your device can be cleared by uninstalling the app or clearing the app's storage.
10. International Users
Casa Hub is operated from the United States. If you are accessing the app from outside the United States, please be aware that your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), we process personal data based on your consent (provided when you create an account) and our legitimate interest in providing the app service.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Effective date" at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
